JANUARY
Every Wednesday WALKING FOR HEALTH Free ‘Walking for Health’ walks take place every Wednesday morning, departing from the Gill Nethercott Centre at 10am – please arrive by 9.45am. Every week, whatever the weather, there are two walks. One is a medium-paced circular walk of around one hour. The other is longer and brisker, for those who want to stretch themselves a little more. New walkers are always very welcome – come on your own or bring a friend. Dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.

Tuesday 17th January Photography Walk 9.00am - 12noon. This is a walk with a difference - under the Health walks umbrella, but led by an experienced photographer who will be available to give tips on how to take the best pictures. Registration for the walk will be at 9.00am in the Gill Nethercott Centre and there will be refreshments on return at 12noon.
Saturday 21st January Whitchurch Association AGM 10.00am. Whitchurch Association, which runs the Gill Netgercott Centre holds it Annual General Meeting. Everybody is very welcome. Free refreshments.
Thursday 26th January Whitchurch Cinema - One Day One Day (cert 12A) After spending the night together on the night of their college graduation Dexter and Em are shown each year on the same date to see where they are in their lives. They are sometimes together, sometimes not, on that day. Starring Anne Hathaway this is one to chase away the winter blues. Tickets are £5 in advance or £5.50 on the door contact Sarah Castle 896270. Tickets can also be obtained from the Library. Doors open at 7.30pm for 8.00pm screening.

Friday 17th February NEW Whitchurch Cinema - Mr Popper's Penguins Special matinee screening. (PG cert) Tickets are £12 in advance for a Family Ticket, or £4 each - contact Sarah Castle 896270. Tickets can also be obtained from the Library. Doors open at 1.30pm for 2.00pm screening.
