WHITCHURCH SPORTS AND SOCIAL CLUB
SCOOPS A TOP AWARD 

The Whitchurch Sports and Social Club has taken one of CAMRA's big local awards having been named 2008 North Hampshire Club of the Year after a secret vote by the 450 local members.
A presentation was made to club members.

The excellent facilities at this Club are one of the Town's hidden attractions. Regular events are held ranging from parties and discos to beer festivals and business functions. There are squash courts, indoor and outdoor bowling, and numerous clubs. The bar serves real ales, selected by members and food can be arranged for functions.

The Club is now being entered into the Wessex CAMRA competition against Clubs from the rest of Hampshire, Dorset, IOW, Wiltshire and the Channel Islands. Fingers crossed!

WSSC is also to be the final stop on the Whitchurch Pub Race on May 25th when there will be a range of family activities, and music provided.
It is also the venue for the 2008 Whitchurch Beer Festival on 21st-23rd November.
