2009 saw Whitchurch join the Earth Hour for the first time. Homes and businesses switched off lights and a special community evening was arranged sending the message that the world is under threat.

Once again around the world people, businesses and landmarks will be switching off their lights for an hour.

Whitchurch will be joining the World again.
